Here’s my go at EBTKS’s Wrapping Paper Challenge.

There’s something to be said about hoarding stuff. My Nana had this wrapping paper (I’m assuming from the early 70’s) stashed away and when we bought her house I kept it. That was (seriously) 17 years ago. Who knew it would come in handy for a card one day!

I mod podged the paper (which was a bit delicate) onto cardstock. Then I couldn’t do anything else to it but stitch around it. I didn’t want to interfere with the awesomeness of the image at all.

Downloaded a retro font, used some vintage wording (“Big Cheese” originated in the 20’s), added some brads and called it good.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Hope 2010 is your best year yet.

  9. This is absolutely adorable. I can’t imagine what you would use that wrapping paper for, except for a card! It reminds me of the movie “The Sting”!
