Get Sketchy 14

trigger 004

I finished this card yesterday. Kinda wishing I chose different colours though!

I used my Bics to colour the stripey pattern and the heart and doodled in the lines.

The sentiment is hand drawn too…so I guess this is a VERY handmade card, LOL!

I made it for Get Sketchy 14…you can see the sketch here. The bonus challenge was to use markers, and I didn’t feel like coloring an image, so that’s how making my own patterned paper came about.

Anyway, I think I’ve yacked long enough….

BUT A QUICK CRY FOR HELP FROM MY FELLOW WORDPRESS USERS…..
Can I somehow change the font and size I use to type my posts? I can’t quite figure that out :)

Thanks for coming to look! Happy Monday!!

Thanks Get Sketchy!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I was ITCHING to get sketchy yesterday and decided to check out GET SKETCHY after seeing Laura’s fabulous card.

Here’s what I came up with using my UNITY STAMPS – used my WINGED HEART stamp – the LOVE stamp is retired (sadly enough – I really LOVE it!) – stamped some of the pieces over with distress ink and the dictionary stamp, “Giving it all Meaning”.

Also included a piece of a retro sewing pattern bought from the thrift store.

Salt – Psalm 46

The new challenge topic is up at Salt Faith Challenge – based on Psalm 46.

I chose to try out something digital since I was short on time. I’m not sure if it saved me time, but every time I play with photoshop elements, I learn something new :)

I think my verse speaks for itself, but I talked about this verse in a bit of detail on THIS POST from this past spring.

Thanks for coming by to look!

HI AGAIN!

If you’re here and don’t know about the HOP today, PLEASE start at the CAARDVARKS BLOG. All the details are posted there!

Today you’re going to see LOADS of great ideas for ornaments, table center pieces and holiday decor.

Here’s an ornament I made (the stamps are from JUST RITE) using the SCALLOP CHIPBOARD FRAME. I covered the frame with patterned paper, sanded the edges, machine stitched it (slowly and carefully!), attached the paper pieced image to the back and attached the ribbon hanger.

Time to go discover what MEL has in store for you today!!

THANKS FOR COMING BY AND GOOD LUCK in the prize draw!
